Who we are…

Unlike a lot of other photographers, I didn’t develop a passion for photography until I was an adult. In fact, the only photos I really took before I started my business with my wife, Kelsey, were of my parents on their old digital Kodak point-and-shoot on family vacations. But that all changed after I got engaged.

After I proposed and wedding planning was in full swing, my wife asked me to help her select our wedding photographer. At first I was overwhelmed by the amount of photographers that were out there, but after looking at several photographers’ websites, I started to figure out what kind of style I liked. I really liked candid shots, but I also liked posed “artsy” shots. So after a week or so of looking at different photographers’ work, my wife and I selected on our photographers for our wedding day. We had a blast on our engagement session and our photographers were fun to hang out with on our wedding day and they seemed to be having a great time themselves.

After the wedding was over, and we received our wedding photos, I told my wife I wanted to buy a camera and she said “Fine, but you’re going to have to get some gigs to pay for it.” Since I was pretty familiar with wedding photos, I thought I would try my hand at wedding photography. I had no “formal” training, but I learned the basics online and experimented with my camera as often as I could. I was invited to second shoot for a friend’s wedding, and after that, I was hooked. My wife helped me out when she wasn’t doing her “maid-of-honor” duties and she had a great time too. She told me she wanted to buy a camera of her own and I told her “sure, as long as you get some gigs to pay for it.” We’ve been shooting weddings together ever since.

Short story long: we are Detroit wedding photographers located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. We photograph weddings all over the state of Michigan and beyond, including Detroit, Ann Arbor, Birmingham, West Bloomfield, Bloomfield Hills and Rochester Hills. We specialize in creating innovative, artistic and romantic wedding photos and are two of the most sought after photographer duos in the Detroit, Michigan area.
