Diane called me a few days before her wedding and asked if I was available to photograph her ceremony at Kensington Metropark. I already had a wedding booked later in the day on Diane’s wedding day, but the timing worked out perfectly so I was able to be there for her and Jim on what turned out to be an absolutely amazing day for their Milford wedding. The two had been dating for thirteen years before they decided to make it official and get married. I’m a dude, so I typically don’t get weepy at weddings, but even I teared up during the ceremony because Diane was so emotional.
It’s weddings like Diane’s and Jim’s that make me really appreciate how lucky I am to be able to photograph couples and their closest family and friends on their wedding day. I can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday morning in the summer.

Thanks, Kate. That was the couple I photographed before our wedding together at the DYC.
where at kensington was the wedding? what a gorgeous setting!!!
Right off of Island Drive, just north of Turtlehead Point. The couple were driving around one day and saw a tree hanging off over the lake and decided that’s where they wanted to get hitched. 🙂
What time of day was the wedding? Lighting looks perfect!
Erin Elizabeth Van Tiem It was actually at a terrible time of day from a photography perspective (11:00 AM – Noon). We did the best we could and made use of the shade from all of the nearby trees.
