Milford Wedding at Kensington Metropark | Diane and Jim

It’s not every day that I get the opportunity to photograph a small wedding with only a bride and groom’s immediate family in attendance, but that is exactly what happened when I was asked to shoot Diane and Jim’s Milford wedding.

Diane called me a few days before her wedding and asked if I was available to photograph her ceremony at Kensington Metropark. I already had a wedding booked later in the day on Diane’s wedding day, but the timing worked out perfectly so I was able to be there for her and Jim on what turned out to be an absolutely amazing day for their Milford wedding. The two had been dating for thirteen years before they decided to make it official and get married. I’m a dude, so I typically don’t get weepy at weddings, but even I teared up during the ceremony because Diane was so emotional.

It’s weddings like Diane’s and Jim’s that make me really appreciate how lucky I am to be able to photograph couples and their closest family and friends on their wedding day. I can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday morning in the summer.
